Ordered new indicators light assemblies for my bike. Where does the sealing ring go? Can't find a pic anywhere to show me. Wasn't one on old parts. Also is there suppose to be 3 black rings on the indicators or 2? Last question, what order are the lights suppose to be going left to right? Thanks

Looking at the headlight from the rear, the order of the lights from left to right is Red...Amber ...Green

I placed the sealing washers directly under the chrome ring of the idiot light and then inserted it into the bucket hole.

I don't have the black shades so I can't help you with that.

My '74 goes red charging fault with sheild, amber turn signal with a foam rubber gasket only, no sheild and green, high beam with sheild. JFWIW

My bike is a 73. Other than not looking stock I may re-arranged them? I thinking about putting the neutral in the middle. Maybe red on the left and amber on the right. So sounds like the sealing washers are only used if you don't have the black shades. Thanks

You have a "neutral" light? The green light is a hi-beam indicator light. 1973 Commandos didn't come with a neutral indicator light.

I'll be a monkeys uncle. Your right I totally forgot. Used to my newer bikes. I was scratching my head wondering where the high beam light was. I only rode this bike about 3 miles before I started the repairs. Thanks

Hmmm, now I want a blue indicator maybe. lol... Starting to make sense now.

Yeah, Neutral indicator on this bike is the "N" on the shifter pointer :D

And why there is black shield on the red and amber lights. You use those in the daytime so need to be able to see them. High beam only at night so no shield on it. I like the look of 3 shields so may just do that. Sorry for my slow brain today...

i'M DONE FOR NOW......Next year will be new raised shouldered aluminum rims and SS spokes from Buchanans. The bike looks great and I'm very happy with my efforts! I have to get off of my lazy butt and post some pics here....And these old bikes are never really "done".....
Thanks for asking.

Mine sat for years. Owner passed away and it ended up in an estate. Had Florida plates and title. I found it it in east Texas parked in a garage. Seems the executor lives in Texas. Motor was rebuilt when it got to Texas then sat another year or so. Front end was shot. Gators were full of water and ate up the tubes. Other than that it looked good. I just redid the front end, new oil lines, rear brake shoes. Now the wiring. Also need to find a shorter front brake line.

Go team blue! Mine is a 72 Combat I rescued from a long slumber in a garage.

I used some indicator lights I found at The Shack, they work well. I re wired the whole bike my way. So I was not concerned with original parts. I still have the rubber hoods and will put them back on at some point.

Looks really nice. First one I've seen with the tail light painted to match. Got me thinking now. My pics are from the day it saw sunlight again, minus a quick dusting.
