Looking for suggestions for a simple way to align the headlamp on my Norton. Google and YouTube come up with some really complicated schemes.

what kind of headlight? original, h4 or other... below should be good for h4
really easy, in the dark; line it up against a light colour wall or garage door, with the headlight(and bike) about 25' perpendicular from the wall. the centre of the light pattern should be about 3" lower than the centre of the headlight on the bike. just lift the headlight bucket to get you there...

As said above. I just go out at night and adjust the headlight while sitting on the bike, tighten down good when you are happy with the adjustment.

I have a new LED lamp, but with the H4 that was in it before it seemed to be hunting hootie owls in the trees. Just gotta find a white garage door with 25 ft flat driveway and figure out how to get the bike perpendicular to the target .

You could sit on it, once adjusted make sure bucket nuts good and tight , then you good to go
