Has anyone used these isolastics?

I'm 95% sure they're the folks I got my FRONT Mk. 3 iso conversion kit from (and a Mk. 3 front mount, rather than machining my Mk. I one down) and they worked fine. Something of a biotch installing (thought I was gonna need a frame spreader to spread the front down tubes, but I surprised myself somehow), but I don't think that had anything to do with the parts.

My general impression of Commando Specialties, whom I've bought a fair number of parts from, is their prices are slightly high but not outrageous and the quality of the parts is good. You can, if patient, save a few bucks by timing their ebay auctions, which it appears is what you're doing.

I'd compare a few of the other usual suspects - Old Britts, Fair Spares, etc. - and if these look like a bargain, buy 'em.

Good luck. Would be interested in your installation experience, as I have not done the rear ISOs on mine yet and probably should.

PS, if it's important to you I can check my receipts to make sure I'm remembering right, but I do think this is where I got mine from.

Has anyone used these MKIII Isolastic upgrade kits from commando specialties? They are quite a bit cheaper than others that I have seen and I was wondering if they are a good deal or if you get what you pay for.

The Commando Specialities eBay listing page for the front Iso. kit: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Norton-C ... ccessories
also includes the Norvil kit fitting instructions, so I'd take a guess that the CS Iso. kits are in fact the Norvil ones?

Interesting to note that the latest Norvil ones don't need a MkIII front mount to fit, or modification to the existing mount.
I'm currently in the market for new Isolastics, and the *new* Norvil ones look like the way to go.
That said, I wouldn't have a problem skimming down the front mount - it would give more options.

Thes look pretty much like the RGM ones fine for the rear but at the front the mounting will hve to be to machined to fit. Also the RGM kits assume you will use the old PTFE spacers.

The advantage of skimming the mount is that it gives you a chance to make sure it's square with the bore.
