The amount of yoke offset is critical - centre of the spindle to the line between the centres of the fork legs. If you get it wrong, the bike might deck you. The other guys on this forum can tell you what the offset should be. My bike is different from a standard Commando. You are better-off with the pinch bolts in both top and bottom yokes, rather than with the tapers in the top yoke. That way, you have some adjustment available. But then you need different fork staunchions.
