Harley-Davidson Livewire: order books open!

Range 88 miles, and that's the figure stated by the manufacturer, in practice likely much less.
Electric vehicles are a blind alley imo.

Saw a review of an electric motorcycle, rider saw range of 70 miles before setting off, after 5 miles of using its potential ;) the range had dropped to 35 and he had to drive like a nun to get to his destination. A rich man's toy for riding in small circles.

Why order one at all? There's far too many neglected limeys rusting away needing some respect and a good home, as well as other choice bikes from the old countries.

There is a few things I can see that will put off Harley owners and riders, Harley riders like to be heard, hence loud exhaust systems, they like to pose (showing off) so loud exhaust go hand in hand with posing in front of others, they like to ride in groups, the more the louder.
As for the new Harley electric its in line with most Harlies is top speed of 92 mph is what most can only do with all the gear they have on their bikes, most only ride short distants as they like stopping all the time to brag how good their Harlies are, they would have to have a good sound system on the electric bikes so they can record a real Harley engine sound as electric motors just don't sound right (a buzzing sound not a growling sound) and no sound at all when stopped at traffic lights, no big V twin motor sitting in the frame and one last thing riding a electric Harley, no big swollown head thinking you own the best bike on the road, or you wouldn't have that tuff look on your face because no one hears you and I am sure there be a lot more why they won't sell to harden Harley riders.

It’s aimed Gen X, Y, milennials, who grew up on the notion of a limited/empty battery being a fact of life.

My first was a '50 panhead which had my adoration, though it leaked oil everywhere and stranded me countless times. Seeing this, and the other turns taken, leave me confounded as to why they would allow such a minor thing as money rule them....I know..No real humor found in that.....But a battery powered motorcycle? I repeat WTF?

there is video on web somewhere that shows an early Tesla blowing away a Ducati ST3 , sure caught my interest at the time ..... not sure what the Motor Company has done with that kind of tech. or why ......

How would yer ol' lady fit on that passenger seat? Are special hard bags and
full faring complete with sound system made for it? What, no $4000 double
chromed Screaming Eagle exhaust system?

In the short term as the torque from an electric motor is good from zero revs the electric vehicle will out accelerate most if no all petrol powered vehicles. However by using that torque the range figure is drastically reduced. What you are given in one hand is taken away from the other.
