Notes from captain obvious:
Theoretically, the gearbox adjusters are supposed to keep the final drive chain from pulling the gearbox back. If the drive chain is tight enough to do that, I would think the gearbox mainshaft would not be very happy, and the chain won't last long. Anyway, primary first checking slack all the way around a few times. One tight spot is enough to make shifting a tap dancing exercise.
Could be another problem, but I haven't had anything interfere with shifting other than the primary chain being a little tight.
