No, that was a gas main blowing up...wasn`t it? So they said, `til the frequency got a bit hot, then Churchill wanted to use poison gas on Berlin, - `cept Hitler had nerve gases to put in the V2s if it came to that..

If they are, then they are not like the ones in the old days. The sale of fireworks is certainly more strictly controlled in the UK now.

Thanks for that L.A.B., one of my mother`s uncles was a RAF Tempest pilot at that time, he saw a mate blown up while attempting an air-to-air intercept when the missile was taking off from the Hague, & he was on the [indirect, but close] incoming end of a big hit [on a cinema that killed hundreds] in Brussels.
