Happy Australia day

I just finished putting the last coat of paint on my house and even done the front fence so the beers are nice and cold won't be long before I cracked one open, it's just coming on to 10 am my time and it's a cool 32c today.
 
As a mark of respect I'm going to were my R M Williams boots all day - nothing else just my RM Williams boots :D

Happy Australia day to all of my Southern hemisphere Norton friends. (See how politicly correct I worded that?) Just remember that were it not for European intervention the indigenous peoples would never know that their oil drains counter clockwise when they change it. :D

Well another Aussie day over, the head is not to bad this morning after a few beers, we had a Aussie meat pie for tea, lamb is a bit expensive these days, use to be the cheapest cut but these days is one of the most expensive cuts of meat, WTF is going on, we use to live on lamb growing up because it was so cheap, not any more, it was a hot day and lots at the beach, a few backyard cricket matches, mud crab and cockroach races at the pubs, how Aussie is that and every park around have the BBQs all fired up and esky's (ice box to anyone else) full of meat and beers, Aussie flags flying proudly, Billie cart races, just find a good hill, it's great being a Aussie we are so different to the rest of the world and we have animals that no other country has and some of the deadliest and we wouldn't have it any other way, we have different views and opinion to the rest of the world, she be right mate attitude just have another beer mate and strangers are all called mate no matter what.

I could keep going but everyone is always welcome, it's the way we Aussies are.

what a crock of b/s. no children laughing then or now. read the history books about the brutality of black fella on blackfella, even to the extent of cannibalism of the young. spare me this nonsense, if you want to live in the "Dreamtime" fables go visit Disneyland.
 
I just wish everyone get over this racism BS what happen overy 200 years ago is the past we are now living for the future and we all need to live together no matter what, yes we have our sh.t stirrers on both side of the fence and we have our problems as well, we are having more troubles with our youth no matter what skin they have, boredom, drugs, kids running a muck seems to be getting out of control, but it's happening everywhere.

I treat people the way I like to be treated no matter what colour skin they have, the Aboriginals were treated badly but that's in the past, time to move on and look to the future instead of carrying a grudge of the past.
26th of January is our day some call it invasion day but changing the date won't change a thing it's just a day and date time to move on and enjoy our day no matter what, seems the minority has more say than the majority these days.
