I am replacing the accident damaged handlebar on my bike and would like to get the flat 'Vincent' style bar but is this possible with disc brakes or is their not enough room for the Master cylinder. The Norvil catalogue lists them as not for use with disc. Feked has a bar that is 28 inches from end to end, is this too short?

My 1974 Mark IIA Interstate originally had the European handlebar part number 064887 which is only 26 inches wide. The brake master cylinder worked using these handlebars however, adjustment for the brake lever angle was limited.

I bought and tried Vincent flat bars and they won't fit with the Interstate tank but imagine they might with a roadster tank, Norman Hyde "m" bars are my next trial!

There is a good looking example of an interstate with "M" bars on page 37 of the "post pictures of your commandos" thread . It was posted back in April '13 by dantriumph, I'm thinking m bars are the way to go for me, but haven't been able spend any time or money on my ride for quite a while, so no personal experience on how well they work with the front brake mastercylinder. You might try shooting a PM at dantriumph to see if there were any issues he encountered on his set up. Cj

I ran flat bars on my Roadster in the 70s and they fitted good then I converted to the Featherbed frame and ran the same flat bars for many years, I even cut them down a 1" at each end, I run the Commando triple trees and had no problem with the M/C.
