Hello - I was looking at some handle bars for the Norton - I noticed that some are offered in a U.S. vs. European bend. Can anyone tell me the difference and/or supply the dimensions?

The Euro style bars are lower and have less pullback than the American "holding on to a garden tiller" type . First thing I did when I got my Commando was put Euro bars on it and throw the other ones in the scrap metal pile . I think the Old Brits website might have the dimensions and some pictures of the various styles .

I originally got a US-style bar for my bike, which matched the rusty one that came with it. Before final assembly, I went and got the Euro-style bar. Rise and pullback on the Euro-style is almost identical to my Speed Triple, which I find to be a pretty comfortable position - slightly leaned forward, into the wind :D

The UK bars have about a 2 inch rise. Old Britts sells them.

Thanks for everyone's help. I found the handlebars at oldbritts along with the dimensions. Looks like the US bars are about 3" higher and have an 1.5" further pull back. From the looks of things i'll more than likely go w/ the Euro bars.

Hadn't paid much attention to the old britts site until now. They've got quite a bit of stuff including a good exhaust section.

Handlebar style is a matter of individual comfort. Interstate vs Roadster. Rearsets vs. stock pegs. Tall rider vs. short rider. Stock seat vs. Corbin or Dunstall, etc.

At 5'10" I prefer Euro bars on my Interstate with rearsets, but US bars on my Roadster with stock pegs and Corbin gunfighter. For the clip-on crowd the fully adjustable Tommaselli's are hard to beat.

Stock Triumph bars have a bit more pull back and suit my buddy (shorter) on his stock 'S' model just right.
