Sorry dude we are irrational motorcyclers so entirely possible but highly unlikely.

I tried to figure out a crankshaft support on fly wheel rim so got up to speed on bearings to just forgetaboutit on finding translation speeds get into almost relativistic rates to approach red line...
1. oil shear friction drag spikes
2. oil friction temp rises till catches fire
3. oil film pressure rises more till detonates like a diesel.
4. Metal surfaces become elastic with a waves of compression rippling through
5. Metal galls and then melts
6. Metal elements disassociate, vaporize, then ionize into plasma shock explosions.
7. Expensive sounds, shrapnel smoke then silence register inside brain to toe nails.

I have an Alton starter so after reading this (if I read right one the was about chevy starter motor) then I wonder if I should dare to use it!!!
I think I'll take the risk
two things sprung to mind as I read it...
1/ that guy should get out more.
2/ has he not noticed most chevy and indeed other makes of engine can start without exploding into shrapnel. If he has not then I refer back to point 1.

Hey, I'm long time Chevy V8 man and know how touchy the exact fit of starter to flywheel matters or next start up don't with some more teeth injured. Much as I bother this forum i'm mostly on science and legal and history sites online so come across stuff I pass on here now and again. In my school days we had to do similar but with slide rules which means magnifier and some second guessing on reading the last significant digit your grade depended on. Norton sprag gears sort of nullifies best starter robustness built to take it long. Average elbow only takes about 40 lbs across it to break and knees about 70 lbs but with painful long training can double to triple this load before failure and then still work if spinal/brain stem not inured the muscles can adapt nerologically to hold mostly in function, for a time. DAMHKI. According to the best minds on various areas, implies just scab your build together best ya can as planet won't last long enough for the long run any way. I am in deep down depression since birth so have to follow Merlin's advice to Author finding out love of life was screwing Lancerlot - told to just start learning stuff to get by.
