However, don't forget that the low pound means those UK suppliers are now the cheapest they've ever been for you guys!
For stainless fasteners, you really should check out cNw for extremely high quality fasteners specifically for Commando's.

Thanks, who is cNw?
I consider myself a very loyal Old Britts customer, but I just had to order a serious amount of gearbox rebuild parts, so I priced them out at both Old Britts and Andover Norton. With whatever exchange rate Andover Norton is using, their total was half the Old Britts total. Sorry Ella.Fast Eddie said:Old Brits seems a big favourite for US folk. When it comes to fast turnover (overhaul & maintenance parts) I've found Old Britts to be right with the best priced crowd.pantah_good said:... Phil Radford at Fair Spares America. Quality parts and Phil knows his stuff as well.
I believe Phil has retired, but I've also heard he's doing some work part time. He also is much more of a Commando guy, but is willing to order.Phil @ Fair Spares is good.
Phil HAS retired, but luckily, an enterprising young couple has taken over, and is extremely passionate about Nortons.I believe Phil has retired, but I've also heard he's doing some work part time. He also is much more of a Commando guy, but is willing to order.
Chassis parts and running gear are best ordered from overseas, from Andover, RGM, or Kevin at Nortonraceparts.com for cafe bits. Not much outside of small shops these days, and the ones with the biggest web presence aren't great to deal with.
For Triton specific bits, you can't go wrong with Dresda.
The Triumph world has more money (more bikes sold in the day) in it, so manufacturers seem to be less scrupulous about selling terrible parts, not worth fitting. Hard to find a supplier who has weeded those parts out, but John Healy at Coventry Spares knows more about Triumphs than Ed Turner himself, and imports and sells excellent Triumph parts--and more importantly stands behind them.
Be careful of stainless studs and bolts! Not all stainless works well for the purpose of motorcycle fasteners, particularly engines. They can alternately not stay tight, or gall and stay tight forever, even when you don't want them too!
