40mm wide 8mm HTD belt supplier in USA

Can anybody suggest a belt supplier in the USA?
I'm looking for 40mm wide 8mm HTD in various lengths.
I'm sick of paying UK prices & shipping for belt primary drives.

A larger bearing or machine shop might stock them.

Depends on the length. Or at least it used to. At one time some of the lengths used in certain Norton drive kits were not available in the US. I used to have to buy them in 50 mm widths, which were available in the US, and skive them down to 40 mm width. I haven't checked lately, so they might now be available in the US in 40 mm widths. I've used lengths from 880 to 960, and I don't recall which was the difficult one to find.

I just went down to my local bearing shop. One man and his dog sort of place in the same village as Verrall’s. He ordered one up the size and spec I wanted. Got to be similar places everywhere.

A supplier should be able to cut them any width you want.
There are many other producers of this type of belt: Optibelt, Continental..
For Gates: I believe some lengths ( like 912) are not available in GT3 quality.

And for max mileage, Kevlar lined!!!!

FWIW, my main source for 8mm HTD profile synchronous belts in the US for the last 15 or 20 years has been KAMAN direct order site. It's not the easiest site to navigate, but if you search for a particular belt size by nomenclature, like searching for a 912-8M-40, it will show you what is available. The sizes I used a lot were 880-8M-40, 920-8M-40, and 960-8M-40. All three appear to be available now in the conventional neoprene rubber/fiberglass/nylon HTD belts. If you want a particular brand, like Gates, you might have to buy the 50 mm wide belts and trim them to 40 mm. There are other tooth profile (Gates Powergrip GT, GT2, and GT3; Gates Polychain Carbon; Optibelt Omega; Continental CTD) and material (kevlar, carbon, poly) choices today, but it's like pulling teeth to get the manufacturers to tell you how compatible the newer designs are with the original HTD profile pulleys.
