anyone know where i can get a new primary belt for my commando in the UK i need one 912 x 30 x 8mm pitch i have looked on RGMs website but they dont list this size i could get one from norvil but dont want to pay their price i have seen an 880 in the RS book which is about the shortest i can use but it states "timing belt" not HTD which as far as i know is what i need cheers baz

You can get Gates, & other, belts from industrial suppliers & they will be significantly cheaper than N****l. I bought one from a place in Milton Keynes (via the post) & I think it was this place http://industrialbeltdrives.com/

This is a pic' of mine.

If you give them a ring with the number on the belt I'm sure they'll be able to help.

Ok thanks for that it gave me the idea to try an industrial belt supplier local to me called Alldrives they have an 880 in stock for £26 plus vat cheers baz.

Hi, thanks for that link, but we with the 8mm HTD , what kind of belt could we used , must we used only the HTD or could we go with GT2 or else as they are trapezoidal , I remember someone ( was it John M , or BDM ?) making a sum up about that ,; plus the fact that not all are made for our common width (30mm or 40mm for race ) , Steve Maney supplied Optibelt in 40mm.......any ideas??

cheers for this link i ended up ordering one from here as they had a 912 in stock and cheaper at £17 plus pot etc regards baz
