Good shop near Albany, NY ?

Hi all --- I need to get the transmission rebuilt on my Mk III Commando. I am thinking I'd like to have someone do the work who knows what they are doing to get it done right. And there might be other bits to have done while I am at it.

Any suggestions on a shop in the northeast? I am in Albany, NY so the closer the better but will travel to a reputable guy.

Try Peter Tallabach at Mohawk Garage on Rt. 8 in Becket MA, just south of Pittsfield - Not too far from Albany. I've known him for years from the Matchless world. He used to race (maybe still does) and also works on a lot of exotic stuff. If he can't or won't do it I'm sure he'll know someone who can.

Also Kenny Cummings at NYC Norton for sure.

There was a small shop very near the rally this year, the guy came with a nice Trident. There is also MOM (Motorcycles Of Manchester) in NH, I stopped by years ago and they had a nice ES2 in the showroom.
