"You can't replicate true patina"

I've always thought that "patina" was just a fancy word for "dirt/rust/corrosion." :)

Hey Mike,
you know how an old buffalo nickle aged to perfection looks.
They are way cooler than a shinny new nickle.
Well that's how I feel about my outer cases.
Aged to perfection

I wanted something good looking and dependable not really a points bike. Some parts I like to shine and others just clean really well and leave alone. Most spent so far went in to electrical upgrades to make it more dependable but Im really happy with it so far.I'm going to soda blast the engine to clean it up a bit and then I'm done until more funds appear.

Isn’t anyone going to do something about the dead guy? I know he was not murdered. He probably dropped dead from a coronary when he found out how much it cost to restore his bike. Nevertheless, someone should call for help. He probably is ripe by now and if the smell gets on the bike it will ruin the resale value.

It's NYC, which like SF has plenty of dead people laying on the streets. One more isn't going to make a difference...

OK, but at least drag him away from the bike so he isn't in the picture when it's put on E-bay.

On behalf of the Anglo-Bengali Mutual Assurance Society, the sponsor of this thread, thank you to all who participated in this study.

You have confirmed that context is key.

In fact, the motorcycle (I am informed it is something produced long ago by some defunct manufacturer, and thus, in pursuance of the study requirements, utterly irrelevant, is in fact a "stock" motorcycle, which we are informed means a motorcycle such as one could purchase, when it was in fact offered for commercial sale, by any member of the purchasing public who, for whatever reason (we offer no conjecture) should happen to wish to do so).

What IS new in the picture presented for observation is the air conditioning unit shown in the window observable in said picture, which was NOT, in fact, installed in said window prior to the date of the photograph presented.

All our experimental null-hypotheses are now disproven, and all your bases are belong to us.

Thank you very much, and good night.

Because Redwing boots are original on most Mark III riders.

Should've been original on all MkIII riders (at least when they left the factory).

A hint of commercial sponsorship has invaded this thread....

Okay, I'm kidding, I'm KIDDING!!!
