gearbox plunger question

I see in the parts drawings for the gearbox inner cover there is no washer/gasket for the gearbox plunger housing. Is that correct?

That is correct except for the 850 Mk3.

Is that why my Mk 11 has a very slow drip there?

Silicon on thread works well i found.

I used three bond left over from the bottom end rebuild

I think I'll try teflon tape. Unless someone points out a reason why I shouldn't.
