gearbox plunger question

I see in the parts drawings for the gearbox inner cover there is no washer/gasket for the gearbox plunger housing. Is that correct?

I used three bond left over from the bottom end rebuild

I think I'll try teflon tape. Unless someone points out a reason why I shouldn't.
