I'm in the middle of gearbox open heart surgery. Got some of the new brass bushings pushed in or placed. Regarding the KS flanged bushing, the only steel one, should it be a snug tight fit in the inner cover opening? Mine is easy to turn once placed. KS sits in smoothly, freely rotates.
Can apply some Locktite if needed here.

Thx...as I said, mine just falls out if I turn cover over. Locktite it is then!
BTW, I've found the DPO or their minions, made judicious use of red high strength Locktite in a few places...like the shifter return spring control plate bolts...even with propane heat they took pretty high effort to break free. Completely overkill for this location.

Have found very little wear signs on anything. Except for the larger clutch mechanism roller...it has a pretty big flat self-machined into it. According to Mick Hemmings DVD, this is caused by excessive tensioning on the clutch adjuster nut in the primary case. I'm now curious to find out how a fresh roller affects clutch force at the lever.
