Hi everyone:

Bottom line up front-- does the G15-CS chaincase have the same bolt pattern as any other models, such as the G12?

Background: I finally got the Newby belt drive hooked up and running for my G15-CS; will do a post on the install once I get the photos hosted.

Part of the process is a small spacing-out of the outer primary. I made a spacer out of a 3/8" wide rubber strip, but my preferred approach will be getting an inner primary and machining off the inner "plate" side to get a perfect, well-matched metal spacer.

Just want to know my options for model. Thanks!

No. The inner (and the outer) primary cover are special to the G15 series. Be sure to obtain the 1965-on type inner chaincase, p/n 032238 which has provision for stud bolt p/n 032241. Why bother making a spacer when a factory spacer is available (p/n 030243)?

I had no idea a factory spacer was available. The instructions I saw from a similar installation by Jampot said a spacer needed to be fabricated; obviously a different bike, a Matchless model.

I will look into it! Do you happen to know the width of this part?? Really appreciate the tip.

Oh, that's the spacer for the crankcase. I need to space the outer cover away from the inner cover. Essentially a 3/8" thick primary cover gasket.
