FullAuto Heads Update

It's not about economy, unless your economy and culture is bloated and resistant to adapting. This could be huge for new jobs and technologies.

Actually, Petersons argument is that before a society will take things like environmental issues seriously, they have to have their basic needs satisfied first (which goes right back to Maslow and Herzberg et al really).

Therefore, if you’re serious about getting the WHOLE world behind the environmental issue, you first have to get the whole world out of poverty.

Personally I think it makes perfect sense, if you’re starving you aren’t going to listen to someone telling you not to burn wood to feed your family!

The was a similar issue recently with EVs whereby Toyota came under fire for not committing to end ICE production.

But they calmly pointed out that they supply the whole world, not just the first world rich countries, and the whole world does NOT have the infrastructure to support EVs. And until it does, they are obliged to supply such developing countries with transport solutions, and currently ICEs are the best option.

Sadly it’s an issue often missed by first world campaigners, despite their intentions being well meant, they often tend to try and apply first world arguments, and first world solutions, to third world societies.

IMHO, irrespective of the rights and wrongs, such approaches will simply never fly.

Even more sadly, trying to present such arguments often simply gets one labelled a climate change denier, flat world believer, etc. Which is utter tosh, and simply prevents the issues being properly discussed and ultimately addressed.

Forgive my intrusion, I’ll not pollute this fine thread any further.

Before society will take environmental concerns seriously, someone has to figure out how to profit from them. Otherwise the greedy bastards who actually run the world will smash those concerns like a cockroach. And like the cockroach, those concerns will bury us all if someone doesn't get a clue.

In fairness, the "N0rvil" version is more rotund

and that article saying Richard is Andys dad made me laugh, and stop reading any further

And now... What about Maney's cylinder barrels ? In my mind, it's the right pair for my Norton
retirement project...

I guess it is time for a Full Auto head update. The new name of the product will be “STS FullAuto”

We are finishing the first run of 10 heads now. I am very happy with the final result, I hope our Norton community will also be happy with the offering. Although human nature, and the nature of social media, I am sure there will be some that will have negative comments. LOL

History: I purchased the rights to the FullAuto heads several years ago. We had the first 10 test castings done in Australia by the people would did the original units. After they cast the first 10 they told me they did not want to do the job any longer. We had the test heads and tooling sent to us in the US. The castings were not up to our standards for quality. We sent the tooling (patterns and core boxes) to a foudry we do business with, they also do turbo and supercharger housings and intakes, and to exceptional quality work. They reviewed the tooling and told us that the reason for the poor-quality castings was in the tooling. So we decided to remake the tooling. The final result was a very high quality casting.

Final product: The heads will come with valve guides, valve seats (seats will be cut and guides will be honed to size) We have installed inserts for the 3 studs used to mount the head. We will also supply 3 studs and special nuts. We did this to move this thread to a SAE standard for available tooling. All other threaded holes are original to Norton specifications

Guides are 630 Aluminum Nickel Bronze

Seats are MoldStar 90 http://www.performancealloys.net/MotorsportApplications.htm

Studs and nuts are ARP heat treated stainless steel

We have done final machining on intake ports. Some blending has been done on exhaust ports, but not completely machined like the intake.

Pricing: I am not sure what our resellers will do as to final price. I can say that from information I have received from the resellers who sold the original FullAuto heads, we will be selling to our distributors at almost US$600.00 less that the original price, so final price from distributors should be much less than the original units. And, in my opinion, you will get a much higher quality final product

Potential Resellers (most have already verified their desire to handle the product)

1 Colorado Norton Works (US )

2 Andover Norton (Europe and Worldwide)

3) British Cycle Supply (Canada and US)

4) New York City Norton (US)

5 British Imports (Malaga, Western Australia)

I will be adding some more updates on other products ready for distribution, including billet cylinders, and complete transmission gear and shaft sets.

John, thank you, that looks terrific !!

A question - would it be possible to supply them (maybe on special order) tapped for more modern 10mm plugs? I there are quite a few benefits but I cannot think of any downside.

Flawless and would be fabulous with the matching alloy cylinders when they are released. No answer yet though on whether the exhaust ports have retained the D shape - which I understood to be one of the main advantages (in a performance sense) of Fullauto heads.
