I'm replacing my isolastics on a 74 Mk2 with the verniers I,m not sure which front mount I have ( boxes of various bits collected over a few years)does anyone know how wide the mount should be ? I know there has to be some machined off the face(s) of the mk2 .

Thanks,

To fit the standard MK3 Verviers to the earlier front assemble you have to machine the longer side of the tube so they are both the same. I think it's 0.250" from memory. The other way is to fit modified Vernier to fit the earlier mount without modification. I know Norvil do one p/n 066130. I'm sure others do one as well.

Cheers D

Norvil's ISO rubber are mounted on seam welded tube (cheap to make) so the hole the mounting bolt goes through is far to big by over 1/16th of in inch. This means the ISO can move about on the bolt and the tube is weaker (plus its cheap mild steel so is weak to start with) than the thicker walled products made from solid bar with a hole drilled through giving only about 20 thuo clearance on the bolt (AN made ones).
I would get the adapter type kits that don't need machining working but from another vendor Mick Hemmings or RGM are my supplier of choice. If you get some for another source check the fit of mounting bolt an type of tube used.

Thanks, for the replies, I have one of RGMs alloy replacements but I'm not sure if its for a Mk 2 or Mk 3,
