Hi got fed up with intermittent brake switch and the weird feel in the cable so dumped the in line switch resoldered the cable and fitted a micro switch under the brake lever body an bingo, works a treat, switches are cheap so easy to replace.

Need VIP access to save images on this forum. But you can display images uploaded other places by putting an image link in the text area(using the little picture icon button next to the smiley face in tool bar).

Save the photo to Google Drive (for example), then once done "right click" on the image and choose "get shareable link" and you can paste it directly into a thread, or from the menu bar choose "insert media" and paste in the URL into the subsequent menu which appears.

Hope that helps,

cliffa.

different approach - didn't like the original routing of the brake switch cable - thought it put too much stress on the switch's electrical tabs and the way the wiring harness routed out the brake hose opening. besides getting the hose and electrical harness through one hole in the cover was a bit of a PITA. I took a 5/16" gasket hole punch and added an additional hole in the switch cover to exit the harness. dressed out the end of the cable with (black) shrink tubing. the brake line and harness come together and secure with a factory clamp at the bottom of the headlight bracket.
