As a class sponsor, I get (2) free passes to each AHRMA vintage race, and still have a pair for each race weekend at Miller Motorsports Park just south of Salt Lake City, UT, (9/4-6), and the Sandia Classic at Albuquerque the following weekend (9/11-13).

First one to reply to grandpaulz@hotmail.com can have one pair of passes (take your pick).

Passes are good for the entire weekend, including Friday practice. At Sandia, you can even camp out on the grounds and there is lots to see including VMX and I believe the passes are good for the dirt track races (but not positive).

I figured I'd post here for high visibility, I'd like to get these passes out to someone who will use them!

FYI - VMX, PVMX, and Trials have all been canceled at Sandia this year. Don't know about dirt track.

Not so!

Dirt events have a new organization handling them, still AHRMA points awards, etc.

(see the AHRMA website)

From www.ahrma.org:

Off-Road Racers - Sandia OFF ROAD events have been cancelled!
Please note that the VMX, PVMX and Trials events previously scheduled for September at the Sandia Motorsports Park have been cancelled. This cancellation is the result of declining attendance at this event over the past few years which has lead to losses being suffered at this event. Effort was made by both AHRMA and track management to continue the event, but the costs of running the event still far outpaced the entries for the event.
AHRMA is very appreciative of all the dedicated, hard working volunteers who have worked diligently at the the off road side of the Sandia Classic event since it’s inception.
There will be no changes to the Road Race event.

This was dated 7/25/2009. Was there an update that I missed? :?

Hmmmmm...

I could have sworn that I read about another organization doing the PROMOTION for VMX/PVMX, instead of the track promoters...

I must've dreamt it.

I'd check the AMA site...
