I recently picked up some '28-'29 CS1 engine parts (for sale, BTW) and an interesting alloy connecting rod came with the pile. It came from the same stash as my #98 Francis beart-tuned 1950 Manx came from, so I don't know if it's a Francis Beart alloy item? It's 7.5" center to center, just like the '50 Manx and '52 Inter, but I'm not sure if it might fit a CS1 or? Anyone seen anything like this before?

Some Jawa speedway engines used alloy rods.
So do some Royal Enfield singles (road bikes).
Doesn't look nearly strong enough for a 50s Norton race bike.

Be a brave lad that would use an unknown rod in a strong engine.
Now, if it was titanium....

Bollocks : the Rod on Heles desk in the mag. from 61 on the Domiracer may be akin , as its a single rod . What was the Fancy experimental 61 500 O.H.C. ?

Let’s see if we can narrow it down to which bike.
Measure up the distance between centres, in mm, not inches, this will give a very rough idea of the stroke; also dia of big end & small end eye.
