Fork tubes

Have a set of new fork tubes part # 06-2463. That number shows up in the 850 catalogue. I want to use them on my 71 750. The parts number in the catalogue for the 71 is 06-1114. Are they interchangable?

Are you sure that number isn't 06-3423?

06-3423 is the "hard-chromed" stanchion/tube introduced during '72.
