Still woking on getting my 850 road worthy for this season. Did the primary chain adjustment, seemed tight, had to "push" the chain for movement, now you can move it up and down in the middle about 3/8" to 1/2" or so. Now - I looked at the front left fork leg ( which supposedly were re-built) and there was a slight seepage of oil from the boot on center stand with full extension. Would hae ro have to dismantle for a small leak. Any suggestions on seals / ect would be great. Thanks again guys. Also - noticed one of the Hagon rear shocks with some oil - just keeps getting better. Are these shocks worthit or are there better alternatives?

Hi,
Just a thought, go down to your local auto store and find some automatic transmission seal softener. Add a big gulp to your fork oil (evenly on both sides), might just work and its cheap.

They also sell fork oil with seal softener that helps reduce leakage. But I wouldn't worry about it. When I was younger, I used to replace the seals and it is a PITA, so I just don't worry about it anymore.

Yea - it seems like a lot work if it just stays a small leak - if it gets worse will have to do something. can you top off or drain/replace the oil in one fork leg without going through a three hour tour?
