Hi Everyone,

I noticed a small amount of oil leaking from the right fork leg and was wondering if I should try to replace the fork oil with one that has seal softener. I am thinking I would try that first, and if that doesn't work then a fork seal replacement would be in order. Suggestions?

Just try it although I guess it might not work. Work out the time to drain and take top nut off to refill vs seal replacement. Non disc side is a lot quicker to replace as you can pull fork tube off without hydraulics. It's a simple job.

Maybe a spritz of brake fluid in the forks might soften/swell a seal but if not then brake fluid will remove paint where its mist lands. Maybe soak seals in brake fluid or solvent before install?
