Another quick question on the asembly ofthe Roadholder forks – when threading the fort top nuts into the stanchion, the damper tube is also threaded into the nut. On my bike, with the Landsdowne dampers and alloy nuts (a lovely bit of kit), the damper rod seem to rotate enough that the rod only seems to engage with a couple of threads.
What’s the best procedure for this? Push the slider up high so that the nut can first be screwed onto the damper rod (how far?) and then screw into the stanchion?
