thanks very much, a great resource (but sadly not in Calif.)...and FWIW posted the link on a Ducati forum , plastic tanked Ducs have BIG problems w/ tank expansion thought to be caused by ethanol
 
This is true about the Duck tanks. They are replacing one at their cost for a friend who's tank swelled to the point that it was loosing all contures. I wonder if they are changing materials or just putting on another one destined to fail?

from what I've read the new tanks are the same and some people are now on their third....(my Monster has a steel tank thankfully, but just by luck, did not know of this problem when I bought it a year ago) Interestingly Triumph switched from plastic tanks back to steel a few years ago after some problems...
