I thought they were just there to keep the wiper rings apart? the squiggly ring between the two wipers? we are talking about the same thing right? yeah I clipped that, it seemed to big and I thought the ends needed to meet.
I happen to have an oil ring set that came with 20 over 750's from Total Seal that are still in the bag if you need them.

that would be great! I was just now looking, and can't find them seperate from a new set of rings. I can paypal you today. PM me your address.

The 0.020" over expander should only be used in a 0.020" overbore. If this is not the case in your instance, buy a new ring set, they are relatively inexpensive.

ah, nvrmind....I'll get a new set and redo it all.

all new gaskets and rings on their way...%*#@$#%%^#$%

Lol, yes, but with understated eloquence and tact. Close friends may have said " you dumbass! You porked it! Now you get to do it ALL OVER AGAIN! I'll sit in the chair, watch, drink beer, and break your balls as you work!"
See the irony?

750,
Concours basically covered it. Think of it as an indoctrination by fire. Welcome to the club. The most creative I ever got in that area was to put the top rings in upside down. Also, you have to understand that there's more than a little competition in being the first to get the right answer on these things. It's like a mix of Jeopardy and Name That Tune in one note. Dave is now the genius of the day. There will be no putting up with it.

I like your sense of humor sprocket750.

I can't find the LMAO emoticon on my cell phone.

Let us know how it goes. I suggest you run a glaze buster or hone through the barrels before installing the new rings to reestablish the cross hatch that facilitates ring break in. It won't take much.
