First impressions

When I think of a modern bike to replace my Atlas after I pass it off to my son, I keep coming back to your assessment, Glen.

Slick
I picked up a new 650 Enfield, very smooth but the seat is a vinyl covered plank. Got what I hope is a better seat on order. The button makes all the difference.

On this weight issue , 7lbs = 1 HP , think I read it here ... anyways back in ‘05 when I got early retirement my working weight was 215 lbs , like to think mostly hardened working muscle , well here we are in 2019 I have shrunk down to high school grad weight of 175 lbs , guess most of it was hard working muscle as that only change made in lifestyle (other than no more booze) .... results are: feel great and all 3 bikes are without any doubt much faster!!! so for those out there chasing speed and lightness , take a look down at your waist , much less costly and fun to surprise your ride buddies who used to be able to get by you on that local fave bit of twisty back road ..... I really like most of the new Triumph line up especially the SpeedTwin , could be a real sleeper back road bomber ....thanks for info , sadly our local dealer is now RE only and Duc,BMW,Indian, etc. dealer has Triumph in next Province over so now 1.5 hr each way .. ...
