Hi,

Should there be a fiber washer between the washer NMT1009 and the fork slider? I know there's one between the slider and the damper tube (NMT814).

My parts book doesn't show one, but I had put one there before. I'm thinking the one I'd put there was a gearbox drain plug fiber washer.

Its the one between the slider and damper tube that does the sealing Eric. So, as LAB says, no, there is no need for an extra one on the outside ... because there is nothing for it it seal!

Putting extra fibre washers on 'just to be sure' may in fact cause leaks as the joint will become a 'soft joint' the bolt may lose its torque, and thus leaks may ensue.

So on balance, best stick to the design standard me thinks!
