Patoo. Too bad the master builder wasn't clever enough to make the sidestand right.

" After that we shortened the frame by 18 inches "

Maybe using his WIFE'S ruler.....

Thanks Hobot

A good read, really enjoyed the snippet ,I love to see the boys building bikes out of old shite. However do not give us yet pish about how you did it. It's not as if you designed a dunstall drainpipe or a rob North. Ye cut up an old frame and put a suede plank for a seat ,did a bit of polishing , F£££ me you would have thought they just built the space shuttle.

what a bunch of douche bags. they dialed in the valves, bored the pistons  , removed the centerstand and rear pegs from the frame  . looks like some want a be did this right up and has NO clue as to motorcycles.

This is one of the guys that built the bike and windy he can't be that bad look at all the drink he's got , no wonder that clip wis full of tosh , they were just steemin drunk!

We are all such suckers for that cocky engine with its 1950's art deco Hoover vacuum cleaner shaped timing cover and gear box. Its obvious not meant for any one like us here already owning knowing Commando so terminology is aimed at general public to impress them and by golly they did do some major thinking to pull off their goals. I think we should praise these one off specials as ain't gonna sell like hot cakes so no danger of disease spreading but each one created is assured a permanent preserving even if just a bar window to draw em in and it sure would me included. I browise a lot of magazines and subscribe and given more plus online couple decades and I don't think even Harley's can quite match the scale and scope of customizations the good ole long in tooth Commando. If they didn't re-force the new tail piece and big gal wants a photo skin on hide, oh well...

Interesting reactions to those trying something new on the old tried and true Cdo.

Crap we just lucky to get out of life alive and we all constantly miss souls that took our memories with them. Maybe similar is going on or will be with these creative bastardizers. There's 10x's of 1000's of roadworthy normal Cdo with more in the works and likely 10,000 more in spares around the world so I don't we'll miss one more transformed into a another conversation piece. I took a pretty nice Combat, drove into the ground then took most the real Norton out of it because a real Commando just ain't up to all out hobot antics so made amends with a Norton parts number only Combat and just toddle around like the rest of ya do on yours. Thank goodness we have what we like at home, even it ya can't imagine any one actually attending to all the detailed required for the unicorn of cycledoom - a fully fettered Commando.
