Fast tickover AGAIN - Euro4

There has been talk of a stalling issue on new Triumphs which is true but I think far less then 40%, may be closer to 10%.

Also there has been talk of a Triumph re-adapt involving running for 15 minutes without touching the Throttle, incorrect! The procedure is to start the bike and without touching the throttle wait until the electric fan comes on then wait 12 more minutes! In other words you have to go thru one complete heat cycle. The problem now is that with the current cold weather this procedure could take 45 minutes or an hour!

Since my remap I can't say I can notice any snatchiness which sets me thinking that it would be interesting at a get-together to compare how similar spec bikes feel to ride?

The cool thing is - they all ride very differently.

I can appreciate that point, Richard, but a little consistency would be nice to. ie, reliability. But yea, to your point, how your bike runs great with 77 map and mine didn't. Mine runs great with 90. Odd. Could be the SBN vs. Motads?

Could be. My dad has two 2013 961’s same pipes same maps same everything. I cant stand riding his SE. and Love riding his red bike. My 2014 rides again different but I’m used to it so love it the best. I rode a 2016 back to back with another 2016 and was amazed again how different the power-band was, the vibrations. Totally different machines. Then rode a Domi back to back with my dads red bike and then my bike. Same engine but different maps and airbox. Very different. Hence why I have a mug that says “I want to ride all the motorcycles”

Same thing with many vehicles. Try driving two (stock as they can be) 1961 911 Porches back to back. Its truly amazing how very different they are. Almost not comparable. Which is why a lot of Porche Owners have a “collection”.

But >>>> take any two Honda civics of same year and spec back to back. Ive done it. Same damn car.
