I neglected to add this to my earlier post seeking my original commando. Does anyone know where I might obtain original factory tool kits for both my '72 commando and my 1979 Triumph T-140 E Bonneville ?

Another aside I want to put out just for fun, The Poudre Canyon NW of Ft. Collins Colorado was probably the greatest "Twisty" ever for a young fearless Commando rider. It is unfortunate that that is gone forever. Cold beers @ Rustic with the good folks there and a lightly traveled road, also with great fishing, it makes me sad that is all gone today.

However, that just means that one has to look to the states surrounding Colorado to find them as they are there.

Commandos Forever !!!!

They show up on eBay but others are looking for them too. The back of the parts book shows every tool it should have in it. Well worth having the original set with the bike.

I bought my Norton new and still have the original kit, though the pouch fell apart years ago.

I recall a complete kit showing up on eBay a few years ago. A bidding frenzy ensued and it ended up selling for $400. Suddenly there were a dozen of them for sale, with people thinking that they were made of gold.

I have mine still. The original plastic bag included, although the bag does show wear. About the only thing I am missing is the plug for the power accessory outlet. About the only thing I don't have.

I still have my toolkit too but been through the original black plastic pouch plus 2 more bags I made from old blue jean legs. I got a second Commando toolkit on eBay for the Dutch Army bike but it must have been before the rush on them. I think it was $65. This one has a white cloth bag nicely rust stained.

With the eBay auction spotters on this forum it is hard to get good deals anymore. Sometimes you can search misspelled words like "Camando toll pooch" and beat them. :)

Andover Norton, part number 06.7268, its about £80 plus vat. Not sure how it compares with the original as Ive never had one!

I have mine for 1974. Still use the tyre irons. It is useful for a problem on the road but pales
when compared to my R90s kit.
