Thought ya might want a laugh! Not really worth commenting on beyond that!!🤣 My dross-o-meter needle was banging off the stop by mid way through; I challenge you to watch the whole thing!

I’m gonna “shut up” now and go buy myself a Kawasaki! Or a BMW or Ducati.

Vote ‘A’ for a ritual deletion of this VLog or ‘B’ to retain the vid because, even the most inept Vlogger ever to stand infront of a camera should still be heard (three times - on each point made)!

Afternote: He’s just done a follow up vid (in the third person of course) - if anyone has the energy to watch it, please include to the thread. I can’t bring myself to do it!😂

OK, now we've all been warned by Luke (the puke) "it's not great just because it's British."
He is apparently, living proof of that.
I should have known as soon as I saw Luke do his Elvis impression, that this video wasn't worth watching.

An amusing juxtaposition to ‘Luke Rides’ ridiculous rhetoric! Another female perspective which is useful. Skewed to the positive by the two week loan maybe. Can’t miss the impromptu giggling though - she’s clearly enjoying it. She also gets the intent of the machine which seems to be more prevalent now.

Worth noting that of the mounting number of Vlogs and reviews, some doing serious mileage, there are very few, if any faults being reported. Bodes well.

A positive report so she must be lying!! Ask Luke🤣!

It's clear, in fact, she states that she is a "fan of old school."
So she obviously appreciates what the 961 does well, and dismisses its foibles.
Luke was obviously a fan boy of modern performance, period!

Colour customisation - choose your design! That’s gotta be a first.

Like the white - not sure about the designs on the lower fairing! Does the ice cream cone have some significance that I’m not aware of?

"One of One" was what the very first naked style Dominator was labelled as by SG (photo of said bike with my missus stood by it), that he gave to Susi for her 30th birthday.
The 1992 TT bike was plagued with reliability issues, and they had huge problems trying to keep it together and well as keeping it cool. A nice touch though with their v4, is they took off the front mudguard.
To now offer any colour scheme you want basically says, fuck it, we've ran out if ideas...nothing is selling it....we'll paint it any colour you want if you show us the cash aka flogging a dead horse.

Yep, it does look like that with the V4. They were only making 200 anyway - if they were selling well in standard trim they wouldn’t be offering alternate paint schemes you would think.

Are you gonna post your second show bike build video? It’s definitely worth a watch - had a good chuckle at the bloopers reel.🤣 Oooops, see you’ve just done it 👍!

With ref to how many of the TVS bikes have been sold, the site How many left use data of taxed and SORNED bikes from the DVLA.. though it seems their numbers are often on the low side. Up to the end of 2023, they show the following figures for those taxed.. There are many more which are SORNED, for example the Sport shows 89 taxed but another 151 on SORN. The SP model being new shows 131 taxed as at the end of '23 and another 11 SORNED.

Combining the SP and CR TVS models only from '23, shows 144 bikes newly registered... according to this site.

BTW the V4CR model shows 5 taxed and 1 SORNED, and the SV 17 taxed and 17 SORNED at the end of '23.

As for YT, I found the usual Vloggers pretty useless, they mainly spout the same facts and figures given by the factory, and add their own, usually biased and ill informed opinions. I prefer to watch real owners review their own bikes. Of course they can be biased too, though I've found that they are usually very honest and even handed when reviewing their own bikes. Not sure if this one has been mentioned yet, but I liked the 'Songs from the Saddle' channel..

Simon is a really nice bloke....he did a couple of videos on me too.
Regards the how many are left site, it's a little hit or miss. I go by the figures submitted by manufacturers, which are then published in British Dealer News.
One think to take into account, SORN, taxed etc is not a direct reflection on sales. That's bikes registered with dvla...and will include r&d test mules, demo bikes, dealer bikes, marketing bikes etc etc. Resale values of the V4SV have pretty much crashed....there's a new delivery mileage example on ebay currently up for £31k.

That's not good news .

The current bikes are a stop gap to keep the Norton name in the market until the new, no doubt water cooled range is available. Though I suspect they now regret going to the expense of redesigning the V4 bikes, as sales are tiny, even compared to the 961s.

What can this be? Most of the FB responses are as you would predict them to be😂!

Lots of encouraging talk of what’s to come. Some substance at the NEC this year is pretty essential!

If only I think it’d be great if they got a single out, with the Himalayan going really high tech it’d be interesting if they did a few back to basics 500 singles an 125s to get new riders on the brand that are actually affordable with some of the bikes in TVS’s range you think it would be the easier option to get a bike to market based on the 310 platform.

I’d still like to see a range that includes

125 single in a flat tank style £4,000

£5,500. (Pitched at Triumph 400 and 450 himmy)
An a 16h or big 4 with a oil cooled proper long stroke single an screw an locknut valves that’s a bit more capable than what the 411 Himalayan was. With a focus on handling and affordability.

do it with a detachable front adventure cowling so it can be turned from a scrambler into an adventure style bike for long distance. Keep it simple.

There’s a lot of people who had 411 Himalayans that weren’t mad on the direction of the new 450 me included.

Make both of those really affordable to get people into the brand from the Royal Enfield an Triumph customer base (bikes I’ve previously owned an im currently eying again is a Bonnie)

Manx single £7,000 sporting single with featherbed style chassis and a 500t style chassis using a common bottom end across all the single models so the lower end bikes have more reliability baked in.

Keep them all sub 175kg wet so they beat the other brands in the weight spec.

650 twin £9,999
650 twin to take on the Interceptor an Bonnie’s. A for the super twin class at the Isle of Man, ranger and a sports special lots of history there.

Take a tiered approach. An keep away from the fly by wire throttles.

Then a more premium range

£12,000
A fastback Commando 360 degree crank in a 850 an a touring bike in an interstate trim with a all day comfortable seat an front fairing an nav tower.

£15,000
Keep the 961 an do a Combat version of the water cooled 750 an 850 with high end appointments.

£15,000
Sporting electra ev for the grants. An a flat tank retro style bike.

£20,000
Then a rotary with Crighton for development with Guy Martin to ride for the Isle of Man ok one can hope lol.

Now that’s a range that’d play on the history of the brand.

Let’s just hope it’s more than bold new colours an another mod inspired clothing range.

They’ve gotta get something reasonable cost wise to market or they are gonna keep loosing potential customers to both Triumph an Enfield.

With bikes like the Triumph 400’s, t100 and t120 an other scrambler models.

Then Enfields Bullet, classic, 650 twins an Himmy.

Those brands are getting younger riders myself included on the seats an you tend to stay there or go back, I’ve had in the past a Himalayan an a T100 2010 Bonnie oil cooled an ex Isle of Man tt 675 an a road going 675 Daytona I’ve been considering both brands again in my mid 30s.

Unfortunately I think they see themselves above Triumph. You wouldn't expect Aston Martin to release a rival for the Ford Fiesta...and this is what I think Norton like to compare themselves to.
