Review from an inexperienced young female rider. Interesting because it seems unencumbered by any knowledge of the recent history of the maker and previous iterations of the machine.

The bike was on loan from Norton though, so the usual influences apply.

This guy is creative . Looks very functional.
Agreed Tony, like yourself he’s had the bike for some time and moulded it to fit him and his preferred riding; touring!

Cafe racer to ‘mile muncher‘ - we know these bike can do it if prepared correctly. Good on him!👍

For sale in the Bristol area UK. For anyone looking for a ready made luggage solution.

Don't see that very often! Guess Susan can be contacted via FB to find out where the 961 braketry came from.

Hi Steve , Nice side hack . Now , if it had a rain top even better ! I also like the flyscreen with the taller windshield .
Never given much (read any) thought to a sidecar outfit Tony, I’m still firmly and happily at the other end of the evolution - well, holding on to my Cafe Racer phase by the skin of my teeth! High bar conversion down the track! Kicking and screaming though.

This one’s a bit worrying - looks like it should be bolted to the side of Flash Gordon’s spaceship:oops:!

Been considering a set of ABM clip-ons myself, to raise my CR's bars.
About 2 inch lift would be nice, and with a less steep angle too.
It would preserve the CR look better than handlebars.

Agreed BT. These look pretty good quality.

They have quite a range - including adjustable sets (height and angle) which ads great versatility. Also removes the issue of mounting of bars to the top triple clamp of the CR.

I’m ok for 150km ish at the moment - when I’m not, I’ll have a good look at these!👍

For the UK members that don’t monitor FB, this looks like a great gathering identified by Tony.

Large expected turnout of modern Nortons, which is great to see👍!

We have’nt managed anything similar in Aus yet - the tyranny of distance unfortunately.

Interesting article on the Crichton rotary CR700W - the brains behind the Norton rotary.

Nice product.
Thanks for posting.
There’s been a little criticism around the traps about missing info - from memory, mainly related to settings for suspension and reference to contacting the dealer for factory settings. The presentation piece looks like a pretty cool keepsake to me, with some utility, to supplement the online PDF. Some are saying they love it, others that it’s a waste of time/money - you know, the usual mix you’d expect.

The PDF manual has some changes to the Donny manual. For example, removal of the Valve Clearance check every 2 years (cos they’re hydraulicly adjusted I guess) to the addition of checking cylinder head torque settings at 1 & 3 years etc. Worth a quick comparison check for those that do their own maint.

Worth watching for a chuckle only, mainly as a demonstration as to why Vloggers should not use computer generated voice overs. Apparently the Solihull 961 provides ‘Oral Pleasure’! A little miffed that I didn’t get any of that with my bike!! A rather outlandish claim about the number of Donny bike sold also, but no matter. At least reviewers are still churning out some content.

Don’t forget to plan for that overtaking manoeuvre🤣!

Yes, the computer generated voice over is dodgy.
But, 'Orchestral resonance' and 'Rattly Howl' equally ridiculous.
Like to get some of that oral pleasure though.
Would make the Solihull 961 fly out of dealer show rooms.:p

Supplements to the PDF manual, received from Norton and posted on FB by Cameron - includes standard suspension settings.
