My 1970 Roadster frame does not have a steering lock lug on the frame, up near the steering headset.

Could someone out there post some photos of a frame with the steering lock lug and the dimiensions of the lug so I can fabricate one and weld it onto the correct spot on the frame.

Cheers

I have a stripped frame sitting in the shop which I will be cleaning up tomorrow in prep for the next phase. If you don't get a picture PM me and I will get something to you over the weekend.

No casual thief is going to steal a bike they have to kickstart! :)

And if they want it that bad, they'll just lift it into the truck regardless of whether there's a steering lock (or any other kind.)

It sticks out about 1/2", 3/4" wide at base and 3/8" wide at tip, about 3/16 thick.

I'll have to dig it up, but I had the MK3 style lock tab, i removed it for my modifications, but it was a nice setup. I'll post a picture of it later.

Here is what the tab looks like on my '74 frame. 1.5 inches wide, .75 inches long and mounted about an 1/8th of an inch below the top of the steering tube.
