All in all aside, Jean thanks for taking the time to share w/ this American some rides from abroad.
Art is truly unique to it's creator. If it feels good going down the road than it's right.
I like your machine as well :D
Where are all the Norton frames from these engines?

A question to my UK brethern: what determines if you get a yellow or black registration plate?
Are they both current?
I've seen silver w/ black numbers too used in the past.
Thanks,
Marshal

Here they were:...Wouldn't you know, I just forked out about $450.00 (by the time I got it home) for ONE.

That was THREE frames (maybe) and seven piles of ... whatever.

Still, the price was okay (maybe). if you had to pay shipping on all of them, to get three good ones, it might have been close. If you were nearby and could pick them up, it was a good deal for sure.

The yellow reflective plates are from '73 on. Also have to be a min size like 9x7" which are ugly so many run smaller plates for looks or to avoid plate being easily read by the law!! eg 7x2" plates on sports bikes.

There is a seller here in Aus trying to flog a Commando frame"Triton" for AU$8490.00 ( see earlier post "Triton custom based Cafe Racer"). He reckons the frame and swingarm would cost $1,800.00. Ha ha!!

Is that a trochoidal oilpump running off the timing chest? .

On this one, everything is special, the frame is an oil tank, the ride height looks to be adjustable, the frame is reduced to its simplest form. As Borat would say, "nice"

I do believe you are right about that being trchoidal pumps
3 pumps in line , one or two for scavenge the other for feed . These pumps can be built to any of your needs . We used something similar when dry-sumping our NSU car engine for sidecar racing (forgot the name of the firm that builds them but they are still in bussiness)
The builder of that bike certainly is no fool so I cannot believe he would put such a clumsy breathersystem on that bike
btw Jean ,is it possible that bike was at Mas-du-clos a few years ago There was a very similar bike there at a track day

I think I picked the picture from http://www.coyote-racing-team.com/crt/accueil.html you are a LOT closer to them than I am  I think you are right about the pump too.

The pics at coyote seem to be older than this shot. The rear shocks are different in this side view. I'm curious as to the weight of this bike. This could be the lightest Norton around. Sure is a steep fork angle.

Well, it is one of those Liton's. Those pics of the Coyotes are some of the all time best.

this could even be considered amuseing . BUT when somebody stuffs up a Norton . its definately NOT .
Unfortunately , 8 out of 10 motorcycles never were quite right . and the things some people do to them dont improve matters .
