Also check for out of round. It is very easy to put a nut out of round with a big cheater bar or hammer and punch. Try to keep the tool near the head where the nut has some strength. If you put the tool to the outside, away from the threads you can deform the nut. I used a pipe wrench with one jaw on the double fin always. If it was real tight I'd try different positions and heat.WEAL Norton said:
