I am fitting a Scottoiler to my 2024 Commando 961. For those unfamiliar with this gadget, it is a chain oiler that is activated by vacuum, usually taken from the inlet manifold or throttle body. When the engine is running oil is slowly dripped onto the chain. The easiest access to vacuum on a modern bike is the tube from the throttle body to the purge valve of the EVAP system. The Scottoiler website has instructions for fitting to a Commando 961 but on my bike the EVAP system is absent. I contacted Norton and they said that the new Nortons don't have an EVAP system fitted. I am guessing that because bikes go through 'Individual Vehicle Approval' in the UK, an EVAP system is not mandatory so they deleted it. No ungainly charcoal cannister on the latest Commando.....:)
The spigot on the throttle body for the EVAP system as fitted to previous bikes is still there though, and I can connect to that..

Interesting. For your information, on the continuation Classic, the EVAP was/is still indeed present.
