EV drawbacks

Don't mean to butt in...but
As I said earlier there is going to be a uprising in Europe and the UK of people in the coming months...People have had enough already of these World Economic Forum Davos dictators ..I see it turing to custard for them...because for one their alternative energy substitutes are a failure !!
They will be cold hungry and angry
It has begun.....Italians across the nation burning their energy bills en masse.

This topic is too politically charged, but the bottom line remains the same:

EVs for novelty's sake is fine.

EVs to supplant ICEV is insanity, absurdity, folly, and IMPOSSIBLE. Even with amazing new technology breakthroughs, IT CANNOT BE DONE. Not even just in the US; ridiculous to think worldwide.
Word.

The problem when you lie is that you keep contradicting yourself!
"Trust the science"
Over the years we have been lead to believe that all this diversification in regards to alternative energy production will sort the so called climate change nonsense....I say clean up and refine the mess man has already made before going off on another tangent

This generation is HEAVILY testing the immutable Law of Unintended Consequences, and failing the test at every step (miserably, tragically, and at heavy cost to everyone but themselves).

Well articulated.

Recently reported that our public transit system is needing a cash infusion due to declines in ridership and also due to decline in fuel tax revenues that go towards transit, because of increases in EV use.

Once again, as I stated, the IMMUTABLE Law of Unintended Consequences shows itself immutable.
Absolutely.

But… sometimes the untended consequences are unknown until they happen and take you by surprise.

And… sometimes they are BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS from the get go.

Is there a law of ‘failing to see the blindingly obvious’? There ought to be !

Regarding the EV revenue situation, the total number of EVs on the road is still a very small percentage (2% here in the U.K. I read recently), so any revenue issue is freakin’ tiny compared to what will happen in the future. So it is obvious that the tax breaks EVs enjoy are very temporary.

Norway seems to have made a pretty successful transition to majority EV ownership - although no doubt they still have their challenges. The key has been the political will (beyond the usual short term electoral cycle) required to make the long term investment in infrastructure and to incentivise the population.

There are some regions/countries (and situations) were it will be difficult if not impossible to introduce EV’s successfully. There are also significant developmental and sustainability issues to resolve as we know - it is a very easy proposition to point these out. To write off the introduction of EV’s almost entirely however, could be classed as unreliable commentary IMO.

I doubt that the average ‘man on the street’ in Europe would even know what the WEF is in any detail (if at all), let alone characterise them as ’Davos Dictators’. And these people are going to conduct a civil uprising against this evil entity ‘in the coming months‘?

Norway Oil

Exactly...the counties that have invested in oil exploration can afford to use their wealth to gravitate to alternate power sources (for themselves)....it don't however help dependant counties that have become reliant on fossil fuel products

You obviously have not seen all the protests past/present over the last few years against the WEF..Mind you... you can probably find a Google fact check for that as well...Or have you researched/seen the amount of counties now purchasing Russian oil ... despite the past sanctions ....all connected to the Davos Affiliates..
The average man on the street in Europe is well aware of the WEF/UN/WHO/NATO/ ...I assure you.

Are these compatible?

You say:

“..counties that have invested in oil exploratican can afford to use their wealth to gravitate to alternate power sources (for themselves)”, whilst referring to Norway successfully using oil wealth to introduce majotiy EV ownership.

Whilst agreeing with:

”EVs to supplant ICEV is insanity, absurdity, folly, and IMPOSSIBLE. Even with amazing new technology breakthroughs, IT CANNOT BE DONE. Not even just in the US; ridiculous to think worldwide.

I'd guess most people know what the WEF is in Europe
If they don't
Then they should
Just my opinion

Hey Shane,

Your points would be better made without sarcasm and attempts at ridicule.

The average man on the street in Europe is well aware of the WEF/UN/WHO/NATO/ ...I assure you.

The average man has heard of the UN/WHO/NATO and maybe even the WEF. What the vast majority will not be aware of (or have dismissed entirely) is the notion of nefarious intent, against the general populace, in every corner of these organisations. The ‘they’re out to get us’ notion.

Despite the protests etc and the (very) loud following such a cause can engender - fanned by interested parties and for some, their ratings (follow the money) - the number of people with this belief system, I strongly suspect, is minuscule within each population. No mass civil uprisings against the WEF and followers on the horizon in my opinion.

People will always be entitled to their own opinions, just not their own set of facts. Problem is that there are multiple versions of the facts and what is now laughably called ‘the truth’. We get our truths from the media outlets we access. You talk in absolutes; can you be sure that your sources are accurate?

Norway will profit from climate change/power alternatives and profit from fossil fuel...
My point is countries like Norway etc that have oil rich reserves can afford to invest in alternatives and profit from both.

Hey buddy you brought the fact checker mentality here in the past to justify your points not me...and as you say I'm entitled to my beliefs like you are to yours ...or your options as you put it.

I told folk awhile back (years now) that covid was brewed in a lab ...some agreed but most believed it come from bat soup/wet market ...Because they were fixated on the propaganda from msm reporting that came spewing out their televisions. (their source of truth)...my sources or conspiracy theories as some called it at the time have well been proven to be Correct..now the same news outlets have changed tact....only thing is it wasn't just China that were involved...that harsh reality ship is about to sail soon...🇺🇦

So it is obvious that the tax breaks EVs enjoy are very temporary.
Yet they cost EVERYONE money that is in short supply, whilst MOST EV owners are generally well-off and easily able to afford to pay their own way. SICKENING. Same as paying filthy rich politicians absurd retirement packages after ONE TERM in which they handily enrich themselves with insider trading information and kickbacks.
