I am contemplating swapping engines just to try out my rebuilt combat spec. The engine that is in the bike starts and runs well. When I fitted it ,I did it minus the head but I don't fancy stripping the head. Is it easy enough to pull the engine complete as I have only ever pulled them with the head off. Same with dropping a totally rebuilt motor in the frame?

Leave your front ISO mount and engine brackets on the motor, come out of the right hand side of the frame.
I leave the bike on a rear wheel paddock stand so it is low as possible, stand over it once all other parts are removed , lift the motor out, then place in a bench stand on the floor. if no one around to put the pins in the bench stand , lay the motor on the floor, fit stand and pins yourself and stand all up. Just do the reverse to get the motor in !!!
Regards mike

I did mine on my own with a chain block over the bike & soft strap around the motor .
took a little trial & error to get it to hang right , but was easy enough .

Brooking and Dero for the tips. Eddie it must be easy if you can do it. Will give it a bash in a few weeks mostly I was worried about my cobblers but if I use a sling should be ok.

Can't argue with that. Plus I'm normally drunk.
