Engine number

Hi All

My friend has got a biza Norton in a hardtail frame but all the motor is together, he has done some work on it and I have given him a few things to get it going, would be very intrested in knowing what year the motor was built the numbers he has given me are

20M3S 148845 and on the gear box it has NA9071

Engine is 1971. Gearbox is probably from a Dominator, Atlas etc. but I don't know the year.
