Would anyone have experience with the process of zinc-nickel plating?
I suspect that someone has an aerospace or automotive background and can add some information wrt replacing cadmium plating with zinc-nickel.
I read about zinc-nickel ~20 years ago and it was replacing all the regular plating at a Japanese car manufacturer (I believe a Japanese engineer or firm held the patent) as it was ~10 times better than the best passivated zinc as a finish plating and held up far far better than zinc in appearance.
