Thanks for the great link to Allied Electronics above. I have a question. As you mentioned earlier in another thread, the R suffix denotes a Zener using positive earth. Can you explain what the A & B suffixes mean? See

With these, you can convert your Commando to negative earth [aka ground] and keep the rest of the Lucas charging system. I actually prefer the stock system. Once you understand how it works, it's easy to troubleshoot. No mysterious black box, with unknown electronics inside.

A & B are the voltage tolerance. A is 10%, B is 5%.
