Ebay Atlas

It looks more or less complete but it has been messed about with a bit as evidenced by the holes drilled in the barrel fins. I think the starting price is at the very higher end of what it's worth and unless it has all the relevant papers, matching numbers and perhaps some history, forfor me I would rather try to find a project at a cheaper price. I suspect that for $6-8,000 you could buy a nice runner and it would cost much more than three grand to turn this into a jewel.

The tale of the pricetag will be know when the auction ends.

Right now = 0 bids.

Not an expert, but I think that is a 650SS, I don't know about you guys, but that much rust discourages me.

88 is the 500 , std. period aftermarket mods .Why, a quick clean & polish , and itll be like new .
if this ' collector ' has left it to deteriorate , should be hung. Kicking it over mightnt be a good idea.
Starting it definately wouldnt .

I suspected as much . :? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NORTON-DOMI-R ... 336c98d292

The early 88s had the Big Bore Pipes . Sound regulations absence got glass pack mufflers , or you fitted em . a bit of straight road and theyd wind out a fair way , like the olde 50s triumphs.
The scrawney pipes gave better throttle responce on later models , for the city slickers . , but they never realised what they'd lost . :p  . Wonder if a 929 barrel'd go on that ,
then youd have short stroke 800'n something .

Better inform him hes overated the capacity 50 % and therefore a Discount is in order . Form an orderly Queue .Definately a survivour . The FRONT GUARD and the TACHO are worth more than the Bike.
well , they were period aftermarket racer / cowboy ( Briish Deffinition ) fittment , in all the old ' s p e e d ' catalouges , Wonder if its tweeked up internally ? Not bad for a thousand bucks, Id say . . . . .

Frame no is, according to seller; 88 SS/ 106142/ P

Does the P mean police?

No, "P" denotes that the engine was built at the Plumstead works (the AMC factory, Woolwich).
