had the early 1968 Commando the new head (with oil pipe feed on the two side and the larger cylinder head bolts threads) or still had the last Atlas cylinder and head?

The Atlas head would interfere with the top engine mounting so if it is a Commando head it needs the side oil feed. Whether the re-enlarged head studs were included from the beginning or phased in early I don't know.
