Early A7 and A10 speed records

Please do , am amazed at 143 claim for the A10... at some classic due here in the UK met this bloke who had worked in the BSA race shop an he reckoned the A7 had been giving 50bhp.. Well seems a lot ,but it would power up to 120 or so.. But another 20mph on top would need circa 70bhp + so am a bit sceptical... If it has an iron head and thin flanged barrels , then it would seem there must have been a following wind of some magnitude..

It's a Bonneville record, so an actual recorded speed, not merely a claim.
At high elevation and on slippery footing to boot!
